Nothing in your life has been a waste. It’s called living, learning and changing for the better. Of course, we’ve all been through things. We hear it a dime and a dozen what people have gone through. Stories of I came from the bottom of the barrel to the top. Or someone will say they hit rock bottom and felt a certain amount of pain and loneliness. Other examples would be when they had zero dollars in the bank, were homeless or didn’t know where their next meal was coming from and the list goes on. The result is what we call the “getting out of the ditch moment” or the epiphany where a decision is made to not succumb to the situation but to overcome it. Destiny is taken into one’s hands going forward. This is called creating change.
When we hear of these stories, from public figures, musicians, politicians or whomever is popularized in the public microscope of observation, do not exclude your ability to do the same. Everyone has a story. Everyone has a challenge. Everyone has an obstacle. The difference between those who have them and who continuously find ways to succeed and maximize their opportunities, is the willingness to understand the learning lessons behind those challenges. Nothing in your life is a waste. Not even mistakes. It’s called living, learning and changing for the better, if you’re willing to. What is required of you is the willingness to not punish yourself for being stuck or falling down.
Be patient and know you can create a better outcome by accepting, addressing and embracing the change. Every challenge that you have, ask yourself what can I get out of this challenge? What can I learn? Take that lesson, look at it carefully and aim to not repeat it again if it brought you an undesirable result. Learn from it and do better next time. In the words of Maya Angelou, “When you know better you do better”. You can do better. Until then, I encourage you to be that courageous creator in your life. Champion Up!
