Are you feeling bored or believe that your life is boring and uneventful? Everyone waits to be entertained by something or someone and wonder why they just can’t find excitement. What if you stopped waiting and started getting more curious about life? A discovery of new experiences could be waiting for you..
There of over 6 billion people on our spinning planet and many speak of having boring or uneventful lives. Really? Why is that? Well many have become desensitized to the number of exciting experiences and opportunities that surround them repeatedly through their days, weeks, months and even years, due to an inability to slow down and get curious about new things once in a while. But wait, we are adults and there is no time to slow down and take a keener eye to the new experiences just around the corner. There is just simply too much to do! There is not enough time! Right! Well we should rethink this story we have created for ourselves because we are becoming quite bored of reading it. We are actually becoming lethargic with each turning page and day of our predictable lives. There is a saying that life is only dull to dull people. So let’s sharpen our thinking by becoming curious and learning new things by taking action to do different things.
There is no mystery why we have come very far as a human race. A 3 million year young brain has gathered a lot of information, allowing our societies to continue to succeed beyond their current limitations. This information was learned through the process of discoveries and discoveries were always and will always be initiated by one’s curiosity. Being curious is asking questions through the act of trying or exploring new things. Would I simply be able to post an article or blog online if someone didn’t think of the typewriter, the computer or the internet? Probably not. It was their curiosity that allowed my words onto your computer or phone screens during your morning, afternoon or evening reading.
Our lives are about discovery. When we stop the process of searching then we fail to discover anything new. Helen Keller said that, “As my knowledge of things grew I felt more and more the delight of the world I was in”. She knew that there is always something to explore and her life was quite eventful although she was both death and blind. Her curiosity lead her to knowing more about herself and the world she resided in. So can you! There are no excuses for being bored or in a rut. This means you need to get curious and explore different things. Change it up! Learn a new language, take a trip to a place you have never been before or participate in a calligraphy, pottery or painting class. Feeling very adventurous, take a dance class or theater. The options are unlimited!
Get more curious about life because curiosity is how we learn. When we learn our minds expand and when it expands we began to grow. As we grow forward we become more knowledgeable through the learned experiences. Our experiences is how we perceive our lives in the midst of others. It is up to you to make it exciting and more interesting by getting involved. You can win with life! Champion Up!!
