Wow. What a way to bring in this new year of 2020. Boom.

Boy – do we have a lot to share with you this new decade! We are ready to create our own change. I have seen so much happen in 2019, and I consider it the foundation piece that people need to grow.

Laying that groundwork was challenging, and hard to break through the surface. I fully believe that 2020 is a year for prosperity! It is a year for success, and it is a year for everyone to say: “Finally, this thing that I’ve been working so hard on – and getting my butt kicked along the way – was worth it!”

I’m finally beginning to see it… and that’s what 2020 is all about: what you’re going to see.

I have heard a lot of buzz around 2020 being about “perfect vision”, and though I understand its significance and how people can become more focused, I feel as though we’re running back into that same problem that has badgered us for so long… trying to be perfect.

Stop reaching for perfection. Nobody is going to have perfect vision.

Hell, I’ve had glasses since middle school and wear contacts every day. Though even when I’m wearing them, and my vision is improved, I’m still missing out on so many pieces around the world.

It reminds me of a quote from a literary champion, Helen Keller. She said, “What’s worse, being blind, or having eyes and not seeing?”

That’s what 2020 vision is about. What are you willing to see among the rubble of chaos? To grow in life means that you’ll have to grow through these challenges and changes. THat’s the key.

It’s what you see out of those problems. What can you experience out of those things that will allow you to take the next lesson? This is one that you can take into the next challenge or obstacle that will come your way.

The reason why Helen Keller’s quote was so important to me (and why I’m sharing it with you) is because she became both deaf and blind at only 19 months of age. It’s hard for any of us to imagine all of a sudden losing our eyesight or losing our hearing… But this happens to many people across the globe, and when this happens, they learned to experience life on a different level. They learned to be observers and observing and seeing or two different things.

Yes you can see things with your eyes. But if you don’t observe clearly and look at it for what it is or what it could be, you’re going to miss out on the beauty and the simplicity of that thing.  Our experience for 2020 should be about appreciating the fact that you have seen so many things in 2019 whether they be good or not so good.

You have seen them through experiences, and now 2020 is about taking those things and putting that on as your new way of seeing the world because you have overcome it.

I want us to look at 2020 differently. I want us to look at ourselves differently in 2020.

There are ways to do that though – it might not be easy to do right away. Like I said, there will be challenges. Take a small step towards that each and every day.
